We are grateful for the on-going support we have received from the State Employees' Credit Union branches, Foundation, and various departments since we opened our doors 8-1/2 years ago. Teams from SECU have provided countless home-cooked meals for our guests, and Cheryl Batchelor and her IT Services Department  hold an annual golf fundraiser for us. Many SECU branches have fundraisers at their individual banks, selling items from stuffed animals to candy bars to BBQ sandwiches. Some have had book drives for us, while others have taken it upon themselves to gather much needed items from our Wish List.  

It’s worth noting that since 2008, 65 SECU branches and the SECU Foundation have donated a whopping $2,154,917.30 to our hospitality house! And, 31 district offices have donated a generous $5,751.

On a recent fall morning, two employees from the SECU Elon branch, Brandi Foster and Sherri McVey,stopped by Family House to drop off a large cartload of items from our Wish List:  bottled water, soft drinks, and snacks.  In addition to this donation, they also gave us a check for $1,024 - proceeds from a recent BBQ sandwich sale.

Before they headed back to Burlington, Asher, one of our many, dedicated volunteers, gave Brandi and Sherri a tour of our facility so they can see firsthand, how meaningful their support is to all of us. Thank you!
