Family House receives crucial funding through two key fundraising events each year, a golf tournament, and a formal sit-down gala. These gatherings are meaningful occasions for attendees, volunteers, sponsors, and staff. In addition to raising critical funds from sponsors and attendees, our events also give us a platform to introduce more people to the mission of Family House and the essential work we do.

The Gala

The Gala is a magical night where attendees don festive evening attire, speak up for their favorite auction items, raise bid paddles to fund our guest families, and sit down to enjoy drink and culinary delights with other supporters. It’s a joyful night with the purpose of supporting the House and celebrating all it means to our community. The Gala is our largest fundraising event of the year. The 2024 Gala was held at the Carolina Club on September 13, 2024. Thank you for your support, it's all about the guests!

Golf Classic Tournament

The 2024 Family House Classic was a day of golf, fun, and a little friendly competition in support of SECU Family House at UNC Hospitals and its guests. This year it was held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Finley Golf Course.  Thank you to all our wonderful sponsors and participants for making this event a huge success and stay tuned for more information about the 2025 event!.
