The room rate that we charge is a fraction of our actual operating costs. Donations help keep Family House affordable for patients and caregivers, and provide the essentials while guests are staying at the House, such as groceries, household items, cleaning supplies, and everything else you use at home. 

Enlisting your co-workers, family, school, and members of your place of worship or civic organization can be a great way to help bring comfort, community, and companionship to our guests. When you launch your food drive or fundraiser, don’t be shy about expressing why it is important to you and our guests

Donations made on Facebook are processed through PayPal and charge no credit card processing fees to you, your fundraising donors, or us! 

Create a fundraiser on Facebook at www.facebook.com/fund/FamilyHouseChapelHill/ 

• Edit the fundraiser details to personalize your fundraiser. Include why it is important to you to raise funds for Family House. 
• Set a deadline and a goal! 
• Click "Create." 

Hold an Amazon Wish List Drive 

Our Amazon wish list is always up to date with items that are needed for supporting our guests. Ask folks to go to our Amazon Wish list to select items that they would like to donate. Items will be shipped directly to the House. Gift cards are welcome too! 

Host a Food Drive

Ask friends and family to donate nonperishable food and paper products or travel sized toiletries. Gift cards for stores such as Target, Walmart or grocery stores are also welcome! See our Wish List here for specific items. 

Hold a Fund Raising Event 

Community organizations are the heart of our mission every day! Wish-list drives and group events give people of all ages and backgrounds meaningful ways to become involved. Many congregations, offices, and school groups collect much needed monetary funds through walkathons, local theater productions, and bake sales. There’s truly an activity for everyone.
