9/11 Day of Service

The power of the Three C’s

As we approach the 9/11 Day of Service, let's come together to make a real difference through the power of the Three C's: Cards, Casseroles, and Care Packages.

Cards of Kindness: Share a smile with our guests! Channel your inner artist or wordsmith and create heartfelt cards for our Family House guests.  Let's spread hope and kindness to those who enter the house with health challenges.

Cooking with Compassion: Calling all culinary wizards! Whip up some love in the form of casseroles or meals. Drop off a casserole or pick a date to make and serve a meal at Family House with friends.  Open meal times are found on our website here: Meal & Entertainment Calendar - SECU Family House

Crafting Care Packages: Join forces to assemble care packages filled with essentials and thoughtful goodies. From hygiene items, snacks or puzzle books to cozy blankets, every item you contribute will make a significant impact on individuals facing challenges.

How to Get Involved:

  1. Pick Your C: Choose the activity that resonates most with you – whether it's card crafting, casserole cooking, or care package creation.
  2. Team Up: Rally your family, friends, coworkers, or neighbors to join your chosen endeavor. The more, the merrier!
  3. Spread the Word: Share the love on social media using #SECUFamilyHouseCares, inspiring others to participate in this heartwarming initiative.
  4. Drop-Off Details: Drop off your creations at SECU Family House at any time. Let's create a wave of generosity that will be felt throughout our community!

Remember, it's not just about the activity; it's about the impact we'll have together for our Family House guests facing healthcare challenges.  Let's make this 9/11 Day of Service truly special and remind the community of our incredibly strong guests.
