Since our opening just over nine years ago, our doors have stayed open to thousands of guests, hundreds of volunteers and a cadre of staff members. Throughout the years Family House has made our first-floor public areas available for small community gatherings such as a local quilters group and women's club that meet in the solarium (pictured below).

Over the past year or so we have reconfigured our second-floor board room, office and storage spaces, with the result being a larger board room with kitchen that accommodates groups of approximately 20 people (pictured below). Several UNC-Chapel Hill-affiliated and several community groups meet in the board room each month.
