Volunteer Needs
We have a small staff and rely on the gifts, skills, and experiences of many wonderful volunteers to keep the House running, clean, and organized.
There are several ways you can help:
- Serve a shift at the House as a “front desk” volunteer. This involves greeting incoming guests, answering phones, giving information, and helping the House Manager.
- Organize a group to prepare a meal on a scheduled basis (monthly, quarterly, etc.)
- Gather items for our wish list
- Become a kitchen assistant, which involves keeping the kitchen clean and organized.
Individuals and groups are welcome. Most volunteer shifts are 3 hours long, between 9 AM and 9 PM, seven days a week. You must be 20+ years old to work at the Front Desk. If you are under 20 years old and would like to perform other volunteer activities, please be sure that adult supervision will be provided and consult with the Volunteer Coordinator.
